CSV (creating shared value) is still a relatively new concept for the business sector in Vietnam. Moreover, accelerating cooperation between companies and civil society organisations (CSOs) through CSV practice toward delivering sustainable development goals (SDGs) is very new and challenging in Vietnam, especially in the context that the country is slowly recovering from the devastating effects of the current pandemic.
On 11 March 2022, the Win-Win for Vietnam project organised a Networking Event in Ho Chi Minh City that welcomed about 120 participants, including more than 100 guests of enterprises, local CSOs, INGOs, and media agencies. At the event, businesses and non-profit organisations had the chance to directly discuss their common goals, openness, and challenges in their collaborations working for sustainability.
Furthermore, at the event, 6 Vietnamese CSOs who submitted excellent initiatives of promoting partnerships for SDGs between the corporate sector and CSOs were awarded a sub-grant (max. 10.000€/initiative) in the Win-Win Call 2021. The Win-Win Call this year is expected to launch next month.
All the relevant stakeholders highly appreciated the Networking Event, which was featured in the Vietnam Integration Magazine here.
The project is jointly implemented by the Institute for Research on Development Communication (RED) – lead organisation (Vietnam) and Pro NGO! e.V. (Germany), and co-funded by the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam.
Visible Impact is partnering with Pro NGO! to conduct several project activities.
